Westminster Organ
Westminster's four-manual, six-division organ was built by Robert G. Dial Organ builders in 2002. Located in the east gallery, the Great, Swell, Choir and Pedal divisions are augmented by the Ruckpositiv division of the previous Schlicker organ and by a Chancel division housed behind the facade of the original Hook and Hastings organ.
The organ incorporates re-voiced pipework from the 1972 Schlicker organ and new pipework on new wind chests, expanding its tonal palette, its range, and its dynamic capabilities. The Aeolian-Skinner style console contains English keyboards and a solid-state control system, including a record/playback capability. The console is housed in a custom oak cabinet built by Bevin Aufrecht. |
