Joining Westminster

Interested in Membership?

Indicate your interest on the ministry of friendship folder during worship  

• Visit with one of the pastors
• Attend a New Members Class, which is offered in the fall, winter, and spring

After attending two exploratory classes

Those who wish to join will meet with the Session before worship and will be recognized and welcomed during the 10:00 a.m. worship service.

Becoming a Member

You may enter into active membership at Westminster in one of four ways:
             

1. Certificate of Transfer - Persons with current memberships in churches which send letters of transfer will be received into the membership of Westminster by certificate of transfer.
2. Reaffirmation of Faith - Persons who are members of churches which do not send letters of transfer, or those whose memberships have lapsed, will be received into membership at Westminster by reaffirmation of faith.
3. Profession of Faith - Persons who have never been members of a church will be received into the membership of Westminster by profession of faith (with baptism for those who have never been baptized).
4. Completion of the Confirmation-Prep and Confirmation for Grades 6 - 8.
