Associate Pastor for Parish Life
Christian became Westminster’s Associate Pastor for Family Ministry in December of 2018, and became Associate Pastor for Parish Life in October of 2021. Prior to joining our staff, Christian served The Korean Presbyterian Church of Fresno (PCUSA) as their Associate Pastor and English Ministry Pastor for five years. Christian served as a PCUSA delegate to the 2017 General Council of World Communion Reformed Churches. He has served as PCUSA representative to CUIC (Churches Uniting in Christ) since 2016, and was elected to GACEIR (General Assembly Committee on Ecumenical and Interreligious Relations) in June 2020.
Christian is a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary where he earned a Master of Divinity degree (2008) and a Master of Theology degree (2009) with an emphasis on missions and ecumenics. Prior to seminary he earned two Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemical Engineering and Biochemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2004). Currently, Christian is a Doctor of Ministry candidate at Eden Theological Seminary. Christian also plays violin, piano, and guitar.
Christian is married to Sophia Choi who also earned a degree from the University of Illinois in International Economics. They have one daughter, Diana, and one son, Zachariah.
