Children of Abraham

Be the Light
Children in Kindergarten through Grade 6 are invited to quarterly gatherings hosted by four faith communities: Grace United Methodist Church, The Islamic Society of Greater Springfield, Springfield Board of Jewish Education, and Westminster Presbyterian Church. Children from all faith communities are invited as we build friendships, learn about one another, and share a vegetarian meal. The 2021-2022 theme is: “Be the Light.” The Springfield Liturgical Arts Festival will host a collaborative project at the Springfield Art Association in May of 2022.
Youth in Grade 6 – 12 are invited to partake in their own gatherings during the same timeframe and to join in the fellowship of the meal. The youth gatherings are coordinated by Shahnila Baqai and the Reverend Susan Phillips.
