Robyn Elaine Newtson, 76, of Springfield, passed away at 7:38 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2024, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.She was born in Dubuque, IA, on December 23, 1947, the daughter of Earl J. and Edith A. Czipar Bock. Robyn married Richard Evan Newtson in 1974 in Centralia, IL. He preceded her in death on May 27, 2001.

Robyn graduated from Dubuque Senior High School. She went on to work for Prudential Insurance where she spent her career working in the office until she earned the position as an office manager before retiring in the late 90s. Robyn was very detail oriented, strong willed, caring, and dedicated. She was also very loving as her family meant a lot to her. Robyn became the caregiver to her husband when he became ill. She was always very proud of her children and their accomplishments. Robyn also enjoyed crafting and reading.

In addition to her husband Richard, Robyn was also preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Ronald and Robert Bock.
Robyn is survived by her son, Randy Newtson of Madison, WI; daughter, Rachel (Jason) McKain of Dunlap, IL; grandson, Evan McKain; sister, Roberta Volkmann of Springfield, IL; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will host a Memorial Service on Friday, May 31, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 533 S. Walnut St., Springfield, IL, with The Rev. Dr. Blythe Denham Kieffer officiating. A reception will follow at the church.

Inurnment will take place at the Westminster Presbyterian Church Memorial Gardens Columbarium.
Memorial contributions may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, 533 S. Walnut St., Springfield.
The family is being served by Butler Funeral Home- Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
