Patsy Lou Hibbert 1935 - 2018
Springfield, IL—Patsy Lou Hibbert, 82, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018 at her home.
Patsy was born on December 1, 1935, in Fall River, Massachusetts, the daughter of William and Dorothy Tripp.
As a child, she was fond of sailing and tennis. She married Albert Brooks Hibbert on September 1, 1956. The couple recently celebrated 62 years of marriage together.
Patsy was a gifted artist and athlete. She volunteered in numerous organizations. Patsy was a very giving person and truly never met a stranger. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. Patsy enjoyed working for many years at the Springfield Shopper and Westminster Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her three sons, Albert, William, and Matthew; her daughter, Stacey Lochbaum; and six grandchildren, Olivia, Natalie, Christian, Ross, Scott, and Dylan.
Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies.
The family will host a Memorial Gathering from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Ceremony at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 533 S. Walnut, Springfield, with Rev. Dr. Blythe Denham Kieffer officiating. Reception to be held at 1:00 p.m.
