She was born June 10, 1921, in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of John and Dorthea Novak. She married Henry Germeraad in 1941, in Chicago. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Garnet Beth Germeraad. |
Mrs. Germeraad attended Wright Junior College. She was employed by the National Tea Company in Chicago.
She was a member of the Laurel United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, The Martha Circle, and the Sangamon County Cooperative Extension. She also spent many years active in Boy Scouting.
Survivors: husband, Henry, three sons, John H. (wife, Ruth) of Petersburg, Gary E. (wife, Cathy) of Sterling, and Randall S. (wife, Kathy) of Springfield and eight grandchildren, Lisa, Tim, Todd, Julie, Jodi, Laurie, Scott and Carrie.
Services: A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, February 19, Laurel United Methodist Church, Springfield, the Reverend John Hamilton officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Laurel United Methodist Church or the Memorial Medical Center Foundation.
