SUZANNE DENNIS BORLAND
Suzanne Dennis Borland works for the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education planning CLE programs. She is a licensed attorney and former professor and holds a B.A., magna cum laude, in political science from Eastern Illinois University and a J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law. Suzanne’s children, Drew and Jessica, are involved in many activities at Springfield High School. Suzanne relaxes by teaching Zumba and Silver Sneakers classes at FitClub.

CATHY BROWER
Cathy Brower is a Residency Program Administrator at the SIU School of Medicine. She is married to Scott Brower. They have four sons, Elijah, Nathaniel, Samuel, Benjamin and one daughter, Emily. Cathy is from the Chicago area, but has lived in Springfield most of her life and has enjoyed serving WPC as a Nursery Coordinator, Sunday School teacher and Deacon. Cathy received her B.A. History at the University of Illinois and her MPA at UIS.

MAL HILDEBRAND
Mal is retired from the State of Illinois as their Director of the Office of the Capital Architect. He is a graduate of SIU – Carbondale with a degree in Graphic Arts. Mal has two grown sons, Tim and Ryan. He is currently on contract with Homeland Security, trained as a project specialist and fraud investigator. This is the third rotation as elder for Mal.

CAROLE KENNERLY
Carole Kennerly is a playwright, worldwide traveler and enjoys spending time working with the COMPASS program at WPC. One of her plays, ten years in development, Rising Up of the Springdale Ladies Aid Society, won the award for Best Student Event and the Women’s Center Award for Improvement of the Environment for Women when it premiered at UIS. She is married to Jay Kennerly. They have two adult children, one son, Christian and one daughter, Pam.

ANNA KOEPPEL
Anna Koeppel is Assistant Director of Government Affairs for the Midwest Region of the Laborers’ International Union of North America. She grew up in Jacksonville, IL. Anna enjoys working with the youth at WPC as a Confirmation Prep teacher and chaperone on Mission Trips. Anna graduated from the University of Missouri with degrees in Political Science and Strategic Communications.

JAMES KONTIO works as an embryologist at SIU School of Medicine and is a graduate of Adrain College in Michigan and Michigan State where he did his graduate work. He moved to Springfield from Akron, Ohio ten years ago. He and his wife of 26 years, Meg, (a Secretary/Registrar at SHS) have two children Collin and Claire who are in college at SIU in Edwardsville and Illinois State, respectively. Jim sings in the choir and has a passion for worship and music.
KELVIN OWENS
Kelvin Owens is a senior designer with Bunn-O-Matic Corporation. Kelvin is married to Andrea Owens. They have two children, Kayla Warner and Seth. Along with serving Westminster, he volunteers for Meals-on-Wheels and Land of Lincoln Honor Flights. Kelvin enjoys spending time with family, golfing, cycling and running. Kelvin graduated from Eastern Illinois University.

MARILYN RIGNEY
Marilyn Rigney is retired from St. John’s Hospital after an exciting career as a Clinical Administrator who was involved in program development, fiscal and clinical accountability. She is married to Jim Rigney. They have one daughter, Christine, who followed her mother’s path and holds an administrative position at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. Marilyn enjoys her community volunteer work at CASA and at St. John’s College Board. She attended St. John’s School of Nursing and obtained her Master's Degree in HSA from UIS. .
