Bill F. Denham, 88, of Crete, died Wednesday, October 16, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Betty (nee Jellema) for 66 years; loving father of Barry Denham, Becky (Rev. Paul) Wernlund and Rev. Dr. Blythe (Dr. Peter) Kieffer, proud grandfather of Joel Wernlund, Rev. J. Barrett (Evonne) Wernlund, Corey (Kelli) Wernlund and Paul Denham Kieffer, great-grandfather of Emmalynn Wernlund, cousin of Donna (Robert) Clark, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, and respected friend of many. Bill retired from International Harvester in 1981. He will be remembered for his quick wit and keen sense of humor as the life of the party. Bill celebrated life and the people he loved. His reliable, kind and fun-loving presence enriched the lives of all who knew and loved him. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 9, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at the First Reformed Church of South Holland. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Ottawa Reformed Church in West Olive, Michigan or Westminster Presbyterian Church in Springfield, Illinois.
