Obituary:

FORT MYERS, FL - Skip Bergmann, 65, of Fort Myers, passed away Sunday from lung cancer.

He was born in Chicago, grew up in Springfield, Ill., served in Viet Nam (Marine Corps), attended University of Illinois (BS '73), and was a biologist with the US Army Corps of Engineers (retired 2009). He was married (Terri) and had two children (Ariana, 16, and Jordan, 13). Other family members are his father (Harry W. Bergmann), mother (Roberta Johantgen–deceased), sister (Judith Dalsin), step-brother (David Haaker), step-sister (Linda Cisco), and aunt (Carol Lovecamp) from Springfield, Ill.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 30, at 2 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Springfield.
