How Do I Join?
Visit with one of the ministers
Indicate your interest on the ministry of friendship folder during a service of worship
Call the church office at 217-522-4415
Set a time to meet with one of the ministers individually or attend a Membership Class. Classes are usually held the third Sunday of every month from 11:15-12:00 noon in the church library.
Becoming a Member
You may enter into active membership at Westminster in one of four ways:
Certificate of Transfer - Persons with current memberships in churches which send letters of transfer will be received into the membership of Westminster by certificate of transfer.
Reaffirmation of Faith - Persons who are members of churches which do not send letters of transfer, or those whose memberships have lapsed, will be received into membership at Westminster by reaffirmation of faith.
Profession of Faith - Persons who have never been members of a church will be received into the membership of Westminster by profession of faith (with baptism for those who have never been baptized).
Completion of the Confirmation Class - High School Freshmen meet for 8 months in preparation for confirmation the Sunday after Easter. See confirmation class schedule.
