Westminster Presbyterian Church Stewardship

As he looked up, Jesus saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. 'I tell you the truth,' he said, 'this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out her poverty put in all she had to live on.'
Luke 21:1-4

Westminster Support & Endowment Fund

Organized in 1835, Westminster Presbyterian Church has a long history of generations who have contributed to the growth of our Church and to our ministry. Now it is our turn to provide support for future generations. We celebrate our rich heritage of church and community giving as we plan and prepare for the future of Westminster.

The Support and Endowment Fund of Westminster helps assure the future of our Church and its continued role in mission by providing stewardship opportunities both within and beyond our individual lifetimes. Gifts, contributions, and bequests from members and friends of Westminster allow us the meet the extraordinary needs that we face in carrying forward our ministry. The state objective of the Support and Endowment Plan is to “encourage devises, bequests, and gifts to Westminster Presbyterian Church of Springfield and to provide a mechanism for the use of such gifts to further the mission of the church and the work of Jesus Christ”.

Contributions to the Support and Endowment Fund can take many forms, including:

  • Cash contributions
  • Securities
