Let us handle the work! Contributions and Pledges can be made via Automatic Monthly Withdrawls from your Checking or Savings Account. This convenience is handled in strictest confidence by the Church Business Administrator. Call today at 217-522-4415 to enroll. Members have been using this service for several years.

Westminster Support & Endowment Fund

Organized in 1835, Westminster Presbyterian Church has a long history of generations who have contributed to the growth of our Church and to our ministry. Now it is our turn to provide support for future generations. We celebrate our rich heritage of church and community giving as we plan and prepare for the future of Westminster.

The Support and Endowment Fund of Westminster helps assure the future of our Church and its continued role in mission by providing stewardship opportunities both within and beyond our individual lifetimes. Gifts, contributions, and bequests from members and friends of Westminster allow us the meet the extraordinary needs that we face in carrying forward our ministry. The stated objective of the Support and Endowment Plan is to “encourage devises, bequests, and gifts to Westminster Presbyterian Church of Springfield and to provide a mechanism for the use of such gifts to further the mission of the church and the work of Jesus Christ.”

Contributions to the Support and Endowment Fund can take many forms, including:

  • Cash contributions
  • Securities
  • Annual Contributions
  • Testamentary provisions in wills
  • Life insurance proceeds
  • Proceeds of IRAs, pensions, profit-sharing plans or other tax-qualified retirement accounts
  • Memorial gifts
  • Deferred gifts
  • Contributions to honor birthdays, anniversaries, achievements and other blessings
  • Any form of gift in keeping with the policies of the church
